POLICIES, USER TERMS AND AGREEMENT
REFUND POLICY:
Refunds will only be considered for medical reasons, accompanied by a Doctor’s note. There will be a $50.00 administration fee applied to all medical refunds.
ICE USE POLICY:
Crowfoot Skating Club reserves the right to change, cancel or modify any ice session. We also reserve the right to make any necessary changes to a child’s program placement. All changes are made at the coach’s discretion as to the suitability of the level of the program for the child’s skating ability.
EXTRA FEES OWING:
If your child is promoted from Learn to Skate to CanSkate, there will be an increase in fees owing to the Crowfoot Skating Club. Should your child be promoted, you will be contacted via email and asked to remit the additional fees.
WAIT LIST POLICY:
If the program you choose for your child is
full and there is room on the waiting list, you may proceed with registration
and your child will be placed on the waiting list for the program
you have chosen. Your cheque will not be
cashed unless space becomes available at which time you will be contacted via e-mail. Notification will occur within one week of
the registration close date. All
uncashed cheques will be destroyed.
LOCATION OF
CLASSES:
All classes are held at
the Crowfoot YMCA Arena, with the exception of the Sunday evening Preliminary
Prep class which is held at the Norma Bush Arena.
EQUIPMENT
REQUIREMENTS:
Hockey or multi sport helmets (CSA approved) are mandatory for all participants under 8 years of age and in a program below Canskate level 5. Bike helmets are not an acceptable substitute for a hockey helmet. For safety reasons, children will not be allowed on the ice without the appropriate helmet. This includes the first day of class. No exceptions.
CODE OF
BEHAVIOUR:
Pushing,
tripping, horseplay, intentional interference with other skaters, profanity or
any other disruptive behavior may result in expulsion of the offending
skater. Parents are responsible for the
behavior of their children.
Inappropriate
and disrespectful behavior by skaters and parents to coaches, program
assistants or club officials can result in temporary or permanent suspension
from Crowfoot Skating Club programs.
All skaters are
to display good sportsmanship and encourage all skater’s
enjoyment of skating.
Please be sure
to stay out of the penalty box and player’s bench area at all times. There is
sufficient seating at each end of the arena for you to view your skater.
Locker rooms
assigned for our Canskate and LTS session are posted
on the white board next to the office window when you come into the arena.
Please check the room assignment when you come in and use the designated locker
rooms to put your child’s skates on.
Parents are not
allowed on the ice, with the exception of the Parent & Tot class.
There are no make up privileges. As all classes are usually full, we cannot accommodate extra skaters on a different session should they need to miss their own class. Thank you for your cooperation.
